Sony, Capcom, CD Projekt Red, and more have been confirmed for Summer Game Fest
Summer Game Fest organizer and host Geoff Keighley has just confirmed that more than 40 publishers will be participating in the event, including a live showcase on June 8.
Of course, knowing which companies are involved can lead to all kinds of speculation regarding announcements and disclosures. Possible headline acts include PlayStation (Drop the Bomb, Jim), Activision, Bandai Namco, Capcom, CD Projekt Red (this is Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty originally locked in), EA, SEGA, Square Enix (more Final Fantasy XVI?), and look at Ubisoft.
Given that E3 has been canned again this year, Summer Game Fest is being categorized as a key opportunity for many projects. It’s fair to say that this could be quite an interesting event, even though big players like Sony will inevitably save all their megatons for their own shows.
