Sony Honda Mobility’s electric cars may have PS5 consoles

Unless you keep up with the world of electric vehicles, you might not know that Sony and Honda have joined forces to develop cutting-edge cars. The new company, which is focusing on innovative new technology, is aiming to have its first vehicle on the road by 2025, and by the sounds of it, you can take your gaming with you.

while talking to Financial Times, president Izumi Kawanishi said the joint venture’s intention is to build a car around content, meaning music, movies and the PS5. The idea is to use Sony’s massive presence in entertainment, “shaping these assets into mobility” in a move Trump Tesla has made. Apparently, it is “technically possible” to fit Sony’s latest gaming console into a vehicle.

Clearly, for users to truly benefit from the PS5 on the road, more development is needed in the world of self-driving cars. “To enjoy the space in your car, you have to make it a place where you don’t have to drive. The solution is autonomous driving,” says Kawanishi, adding that it will take time to get it right.

Obviously this all sounds far-fetched and crazy, but if we’re going to move away from manual driving, what better way to pass the time than catching up on some games? Let us know what you make of this idea in the comments section below.
