UK studio Splash Damage has teased Project Astrid, which it claims is a AAA open-world survival game being developed in partnership with streamers/content creators Mike “Shroud” Grzesiek and Chris “Sacreal” Ball. . The two have been linked since the beginning of the project.

Little is known about Project Astrid. It’s currently in pre-production, so we won’t expect to see gameplay anytime soon. Project Astrid’s creative director, Lance Winter, said of their collaborators, “Sacriel and Shroud are key members of our development team. They bring with them a unique and fresh perspective. Not only that, but they give us brand new insights into delivering. What fans and creators really want from their gaming experiences. No one knows the genre better than them.”

Splash Damage has been making multiplayer shooters for over two decades, with Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Enemy Territory: Earthquake War under its belt, so a partnership with the likes of Shroud and Sacriel could bear really interesting fruit.
