Street Fighter 6 Evo Heads To 2023 As Bigger Prize Pool And Format Changes Confirmed
Kicking off on August 4, Evo 2023 has confirmed which fighting games will take to the main stage. This year, eight titles have been selected, with Street Fighter 6 leading the way.
With Capcom’s anticipated Brawl set to release on June 2, players will have nearly two months to get to the competitive scene. The timing should make for an especially intense tournament.
Anyway, the full roster is as follows:
It’s a fairly predictable lineup — even with the glorious return of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 — but it’s hard to argue with the selection as a whole. But wait, there’s more! Evo is actually making some changes this year, as it’s been confirmed that all major tournaments will adopt a new Top 6 bracket format for their finals — instead of a more traditional Top 8. This will obviously benefit the efficiency of the event.
