Switchback VR is a great reason to play PSVR2 after launch
There’s a huge list of PSVR2 launch titles and PS5 updates for early adopters of the VR headset to play on launch day, and you can check them all out in our All PSVR2 launch games Guide But what to watch after 22 February 2023? While Sony hasn’t really revealed much beyond the launch window, here’s a triple whammy of The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR and The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Chapters 1 and 2.
The first is out on March 16, 2023, and today a new video featuring a developer interview and new gameplay was published. The on-rails experience puts you in the front seat of a rollercoaster that takes you through some of the scariest sights and scenes from the Dark Pictures universe, and you have a handful of guns to protect you.
What looks particularly impressive is a section of the track where a load of Portuguese sync with the PSVR2’s eye-tracking feature and move every time you blink. The headset will also support haptic feedback, simulating wind and other sensations.
Although this tool is a spiritual successor to Dawn: Rush of Blood, it fits into the world of The Dark Pictures as a spin-off, with the curator making an appearance. Will you be playing Switchback VR next month? Let us know in the comments below.
