Take control of a new kind of medieval RTS on PS5 in The Valiant

Valiant is a historically inspired real-time strategy game (with RPG mechanics) that we’ve been eyeing for a while. Finally, its July 11 release date is almost upon us. We’ve got a new trailer that answers our most burning question, one that should be on the lips of every committed strategy fan playing on PlayStation: How does it handle?

Thankfully, it looks quite intuitive with the ability to select specific units using a radial menu and easily command groups with a large cursor. It will probably feel overwhelming at first, but at least so far, it looks good.

In The Valiant, players can embark on a narrative single-player campaign, where eponymous characters will lead squads of soldiers on an elaborate tale of revenge set against a bloody historical backdrop. The Fifth Crusade. These characters will gain experience over time, learning skills that will give them powerful new abilities and increase their team’s effectiveness.

Once they get a handle on how it all works, players can take their new skills online and engage in medieval brawls with others for bragging rights and glory. We hope to eliminate the digital nav when the game goes live, provided the controls are up to the task.
