Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s post-launch content support will end next month on December 6, 2022 as it releases a final chapter designed to conclude Eaver’s story. Available for free to all players, it will “connect some of the stories developed throughout the game and offer closure to your time in Raven Clan”.

Named The Last Chapter, it follows the Wrath of the Druids and Siege of Paris DLC, as well as the massive Dawn of Ragnarok expansion. Another small piece of content made available for free brought Cassandra back from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It is expected to be similar in size to the final DLC, and to access it, you must:

  • Complete the main story by pledging all the territories of England
  • Complete the mythological stories of Asgard and Jotunheim
  • Upgrade your settlement to level 5 and build Jomsviking Barracks
  • Kill all the targets of the Order of the Ancients and expose its leader

Update 1.6.2 will not only include The Last Chapter; This also includes the ability to keep Eaver’s hood up at all times. “This new option will be added to the in-game options menu, allowing you to always have your hood equipped, even when Evar is undressed. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect gameplay or exploration. will but allow you to proceed. Customize your experience.”

However, the patch will shut down the game’s seasonal festivities. Instead of themed mini-games to complete, each event’s rewards will be available for purchase with silver at all vendors in the open world. Next month’s update will also include some new rewards to unlock.

Ubisoft also provides an update on the possibility of a new Game+ mode. Due to the “depth of the game”, the company has “limited options to make the replayability unique and rewarding”. Thus, New Game+ will not be included in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The next title in the series isn’t too far off, though, with Assassin’s Creed Mirage due out next year on PS5, PS4. Additionally there is Assassin’s Creed Infinite Platformer along with Assassin’s Creed Codename Red and Assassin’s Creed Codename Hack which have already been announced.
