The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me Saw was inspired by the films, and shows



The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me comes out next month, on November 18th, and we’ve got a new Halloween-themed trailer to celebrate. The Gory Saw film franchise has been cited as an influence on this particular outing, and it shows, with some of the gruesome scenes presented in this trailer reminding us of the impossible situations found in those films. .

The Devil in Me follows a down-and-out team of documentarians as they investigate H.H. Holmes tries to save his show by spending a night in a modern-day recreation of the infamous “Murder Castle.” Of course, thanks to a convenient storm and the mysterious disappearance of their host, it’s only a matter of time before things start to take a horrific turn.

If you don’t know, the real-life Holmes is widely considered to be America’s first true serial killer, having renovated the hotel he owned with all sorts of unique enhancements such as fake walls, Includes peepholes, torture chambers and even a basement furnace.
