The EA Sports FC Ultimate Edition cover has very questionable face renders
EA has officially begun its marketing rollout for its big breakaway from FIFA, starting with the Ultimate Edition boxart for EA Sports FC. Trying to repeat the “everyone is here” meme Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, featuring famous footballers both past and present. The only issue is, well… look at their faces.
It is not known what the players will actually look like in-game, but the cover art for the PS5, the most expensive version of the PS4 title, has some very suspicious facial renders. Legendary Italian midfielder Andre Pirlo looks like he’s seen a ghost, Arsenal sensation Bukayo Saka looks nothing like the real-life player, Virgil Dan Dijk has a black eye, and Real Madrid maestro Vinicius Jr. has his face is distorted Meanwhile, Leah Williamson deserves a formal apology.
We recommend opening up the tweet below and really zooming in so you can see how stunning some of these renders are. The likes of David Beckham, Jude Bellingham, and Alexander Isck have gotten off very lightly.
