The scathing first-person cultural commentary The Last Worker is primed and ready for dispatch, ahead of its scheduled delivery on March 30. Coming to PS5 with the title – complete, optional PSVR2 Support – promises a narrative adventure focused on “humanity’s struggle in an increasingly automated world.”

The press release states: “Built from the ground up to deliver a VR and flat-packed experience, the game combines a hand-drawn art style with collaborations. [Judge Dredd] Comics legend Mick McMahon and unique, immersive gameplay mechanics are seamlessly integrated into a narrative game like no other.”

Writer and director Jörg Titel added: “Just as the pandemic has made us all dependent on home delivery, it has taken us the whole pandemic to deliver this game. We have often felt [protagonist] Kurt: Overworked, alone, and tired, too [robot companion] Skew reminds us that there will be fun and light at the end of this fulfillment center. I hope you all make The Last Worker your next instant purchase.

While you will be able to purchase the game from PS Store, a physical version will also be made available, which will include a reverse sleeve, some stickers, and a double-sided poster. You can check out a new trailer embedded above for a better idea of what to expect post-launch.
