The modern day storyline in Assassin’s Creed has long been a hotly debated topic among fans at times. In the early years of the franchise, when it was Desmond Miles and the gang, most people were interested to see where things would lead, but never the later installments. as a matter of fact The plot got back on track after the end of Desmond’s era. It’s been very stop-start since then, and many argue that the most recent modern volumes like Assassin’s Creed Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla simply fall by the wayside.
If you feel the same way, we’ve got potentially good news: the modern story of Assassin’s Creed is being ported to Assassin’s Creed Infinity – the new ‘hub’ for the franchise, with upcoming projects called Assassin’s Creed. Creed Red and Assassin’s Creed Hexy will be included. According to producer Marc-Alexis Cote, this means you’ll never be torn from your historical adventure again.
“People who like to immerse themselves in the past will be able to jump right in there and never be interrupted or need to know who Desmond and Layla are,” Cote says.
As predicted, Infinite will be a vehicle for the modern day narrative, with your own character exploring various simulations through the Animus. Cote explains: “That abstraction we want people to have [Infinity] You have an enemy. This is your DNA Explorer on your desktop. You are the protagonist of the story.”
Honestly, it looks good to us. However the latest games don’t have modern day stuff too much Aggressively, it pulls you out of the experience from time to time, forcing you to interact with characters that are, as far as we’re concerned, nasty, which we can’t give a damn about.
But maybe you feel differently? What do you think of this revamp in Assassin’s Creed? Never get out of animus again in the comments section below.
