Bandai Namco has revealed that its visual novel meets strategy RPG Digimon Survive has sold over half a million units since its release in late July. First announced all the way back in 2018, the title was delayed several times and then suddenly given a date for July of this year. Considering the less than organized development time, this sales milestone can be considered a success.
A close comparison point for the franchise on PS4 would be Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, which, including its Hacker’s Memory re-release, sold over 1.5 million copies. Digimon Survive has a ways to go if it wants to beat Cyber Sleuth, but Bandai Namco thanks “everyone who has supported the Digimon games.”
in us Digimon Survive PS4 ReviewWe praised its story and addictive leveling systems, concluding: “A uniquely dark take on Digimon Survive’s standard. digimon The storyline is enough to carry a title that is sometimes poorly paced and basic in its approach to gameplay. A visual novel with RPG elements, it’s hard not to feel as if the taming and combat aspects of The Living could have been bigger and better. But in the end, the mix of lovable characters and eye-opening plot points make this a more rewarding adventure into the digital world.”
