The PlayStation Showcase was finally announced for May 24

This is not a drill: a PlayStation Showcase is Happening, and it’s happening soon. Just announced via Sony’s official channels, the event will take place on Wednesday May 24 at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST / 10pm CET. It will be streamed on both YouTube and Twitch. The hype is real.

And let’s be honest, it’s a long time. PlayStation fans are dying to know what’s next for the PS5, both in terms of big first-party games and long-rumored hardware revisions. But Sony’s relative silence has been deafening, with the Japanese giant holding only small shows to promote individual blockbusters and to meet contractual obligations.

This is what we’ve all been waiting for, though. Sony writes: “The show will last over an hour, focusing on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios around the world. Expect a look at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as our third Spellbinding Games -Party Partners and Indie Creators.” A bit of everything, then!

Indeed, we for one are waiting for news regarding the PlayStation Studios output long Time We know that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming later this year, but other than that, we’re left in the dark a lot. If you’re anything like us, you’ll really want to know what Naughty Dog and Sucking Punch has got in store.
