The Witcher’s Geralt of Rivia signs on for a Fortnite cameo
Announced as part of the latest Battle Pass, and now finally available to unlock, the silver-haired Geralt of The Witcher of Rivia has arrived in Fortnite. Unlockable as part of a collection of unique quests, you’ll need to complete tasks such as dealing 500 melee damage and completing three bounties. The full task list and their rewards are included below, with the second set of objectives coming on February 28th. To get the skin you need to complete all five of the following:
- Activate augmented reality in 5 different matches
Unlocks Geralt of Rivia loading screen. - Complete 3 rewards
Unlocks the muscle memory spray. - Defeat a boss
Witcher Back unlocks weapons of bling. - Emote in the Citadel throne room
Unlocks the Igni Sign emote. - Deal 500 melee weapon damage to opponents
Unlocks the Witcher’s Steel Sword Pickaxe.
That’s not the only thing developer Epic Games has in store, though, as it’s also launched School of Lamas, a website that includes its own set of challenges and rewards. Running from today until March 10, you’ll be able to log in and unlock in-game rewards, such as the Silver Sword pickaxe and lobby music from The Witcher series.
New paths will open up every week, and there’s a whole lot more to unlock, including Battle Pass XP, emoticons, spray paints, and banner icons — again, all inspired by Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels and CD Projekt RED’s games.
