Love it or hate it, you have to take your hat off to the team at Epic Games for keeping Fortnite so relevant and constantly finding ways to keep dedicated fans engaged in the ongoing meta-narrative. Case in point, Season 3 Chapter 3 is ending, and so we all know what that means; A once-in-a-lifetime, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it apocalyptic event that will set the stage for what’s to come.
This final event is known as fracture, and we now know when it will occur. On December 3rd, at 1PM PT / 4PM ET / 3 PM GMT, the event will begin, with a playlist players can join by going live 30 minutes before.
What comes next is anyone’s guess, but typically, these events last about 15 minutes and play out like an interactive theater performance, with players witnessing and even participating in any unusual situations that arise. A new map will be presented. It is widely believed that Fortnite Season 4 Chapter 1 will begin the following day, December 4, and will feature an entirely new battle map.
What do you think of Fortnite’s end-of-season events? Will you witness the events of the fracture? Brace yourself for the ending in the comments section below.
