Trails in Reverie Reveals Randomized Dungeons and Delightfully Dumb Minigames
Here’s something we didn’t really know about Trails in Reverie: it actually has a wide range of optional content, from challenging dungeon delves to minigames. Obviously the main draw of the upcoming RPG is its story, which basically serves as a substitute for the Trails of Cold Steel series, but Falcom clearly put a lot of effort into making it a celebration of its wider series.
The aptly named True Reverie Corridor lets you assemble a team of over 50 playable characters to tackle random dungeon layouts, complete with tough battles and worthy rewards. We’re big fans of Trail’s turn-based combat system, so this should be a great way to fully experiment with its mechanics.
And then there are the mini games above. Many of them seem fun, like riding a banana boat and splitting watermelons, but there are more serious distractions, like the in-universe quiz and the Vantage Master — the collectible cards featured in Cold Steel III and IV. the game You can even participate in mech battles!
Trails in Reverie is still set to release on July 7, but will you be joining Class VII and SSS on this all-star adventure? Make those bond levels in the comments section below.
