Wild Hearts flashy PS5 gameplay trailer shows off three weapon types

EA and Omega Force have released a brand new gameplay video of their upcoming monster-slaying action game, Wild Hearts. It looks really cool in this footage captured on PS5, and we see a trio of approaches to take down a mighty Aragen, or Golden Tempest.

The Claw Blade is up first, which actually appears to be a pair of weapons that you dual wield. A blade can be launched into a monster to do some damage over time while you slash with another. Next is a ranged weapon simply called a cannon. This heavy-looking gun is all about hanging back and blasting away to chip away at that health bar, before unleashing some explosive (but slow) special attacks. The third weapon shown is the Karakuri Staff, which can transform from a regular staff into a giant sword for some seriously big hits.

Of course, weapons are only one part of the arsenal; Throughout the gameplay we also see how you can build structures and traps to support you and your party. We see someone use a simple wall to hide behind while recuperating, and someone produce a giant mullet to deliver a big old smack.
