Your pets can be part of PlayStation’s $25,000 donation to the ASPCA

Back when the PS Plus extra title Stray launched a few months ago, it instantly rose to popularity. There were plenty of warm feelings about the cat-friendly title, and its animations are so convincing that real-world pets were reacting to it in heart-warming fashion. This spawned a great social media trend, with pet owners sharing clips of their animals interacting with the game. Now, PlayStation wants to take action as part of a donation to the ASPCA.

announced on PS blog, the company has committed to donating $25,000 to charity, which is pretty cool in itself. However, Sony wants to expand the giveaway, inspired by the social craze surrounding Stray. You’re encouraged to share a picture or video of your pet reacting to BlueTwelve’s adventure, using the hashtag #StrayReactions on sites like Twitter and Instagram. A selection of submissions will be included in a “digital photobook” along with a monetary donation.

It should be noted that it’s only open to US residents over the age of 18, but it’s a fun initiative that will result in plenty of clips of cats, dogs, and other furry friends watching along with the game, so OK for us. Will you send your best pet reactions? Let us know in the comments section below.
