Xiaomi boasts of the huge number of kilometers they have driven with the Xiaomi SU7 to test it. More than 4.5 million kilometers, enough to go “more than 100 times around the Earth”. In addition to 40 safety tests.

Inside the Xiaomi SU7 we find components from leading manufacturers in the industry, several of them international manufacturers such as Bosch or Continental.
SU7 partsThe Xiaomi SU7 will be offered in two variants, one with 295 hp and one with 664 hp. For their first electric car they have developed a chassis with their own architecture, called Modena.

There has also been no lack of comparisons with the Tesla Model 3, its main rival. Xiaomi boasts that after charging the Xiaomi SU7 stays at 59.5ºC, while the Tesla reaches a higher temperature of 71.5ºC.
Xiaomi PerformanceAt engine level, the Xiaomi SU7 offers a top speed of 265 km/h with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.78 seconds. This is below the 3.3 seconds of the Model 3 Performance or the 2.93 seconds of the Porsche Taycan Turbo. The 495 kW engine offers a torque of 838 Nm and 21,000 rpm.

For range, Xiaomi initially promised 800 kilometers, but they have lowered it to 700 kilometers, according to the CLTC cycle used in China. Lei Jun explains that this is a figure that can be achieved with different types of driving.
Xiaomi Fast ChargeMeanwhile, the Xiaomi SU7 Max version arrives with a range of 810 km with a 101 kWh battery, promising to place ahead of the Taycan Turbo with 741 km, the EQS with 720 km and the Model S with 715 km.

The Max model arrives with 871 V charging, while the SU7 arrives with 486 V charging. As Xiaomi explains, a 15-minute charge allows 350 km of autonomy, in the standard model.
At the autonomous driving level, the Xiaomi SU7 arrives with Xiaomi Pilot, which will be available in two versions. One Pro and one Max, the latter offering up to 508 TOPS.

Availability and price of the Xiaomi SU7

The first deliveries of the Xiaomi SU7 are already underway in China. At the moment, the manufacturer has not given details of when it will be available outside its home country.

On the price, Lei Jun has started by justifying that manufacturing an electric car is not exactly cheap. The starting price for the Xiaomi SU7 model with 700 km and top speed of 210 km/h is 215,900 yuan, about $30,226 at direct exchange rates (assuming 1 EUR = 1.05 USD).

The Pro model will be priced at 245,900 yuan (about $34,455), and the Max model with 800 km, speed up to 265 km/h and 871V charging, which Xiaomi directly compares to the Porsche Taycan Turbo, the price is 299,900 yuan (about $41,952).

Alan, editor-in-chief, born in 1964 in a picturesque small town in the south, has always been fascinated by the roar of engines and the shine of car bodies. From a young age, he spent hours flipping through his father's car magazines, dreaming of the cars he would one day drive. After obtaining his high school diploma, Alan decided to pursue his passion for automobiles by studying journalism, with the hope of combining his two loves: writing and cars.
