Gabriel Jesus says Nicolas Pepe makes him laugh the most at Arsenal
Gabriel Jesus has shared that the now-departed Nicolas Pepe is one of the Arsenal players who makes him ‘laugh’ the most, as he told Sky Sports.
The thriving striker, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City this summer, shared that ‘there are a lot’ of players who make him laugh in the dressing room.
But Jesus decided to pick out Pepe, who has since moved on a loan deal to French side Nice following his struggles at the Emirates Stadium in recent years.
Despite Mikel Arteta’s side thriving on the Premier League stage during this part of the campaign, it was the right call for all involved to let Pepe move on.
Nevertheless, this is what Jesus had today about Pepe when asked about which Arsenal player makes him laugh the most.
“Wow, there is a lot (who make me laugh),” said Jesus. “I love with Nico (Pepe). I look at him and I want to laugh. He knows.”
JESUS HAS LIT UP THE PLACE
There was a lot of hype and noise around Jesus’ capture from Manchester City this summer, including huge expectations on the player’s shoulders.
That blew up even further when the Brazil star ripped teams up in pre-season, as the Gunners went unbeaten through the summer.
Well, he has now transformed that onto the Premier League stage, supplying three assists and scoring two goals from his opening four matches.
He will be hoping to feast further on Wednesday night when Arsenal take on out-of-sorts Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium. They sit top of the Premier League table and are the only team with a 100% record.
