Charging technology has improved rapidly over the years. Earlier this year, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge which can fully charge a smartphone in less than 20 minutes. Apart from this, iQoo’s upcoming smartphone i.e. iQoo 10 Pro will come with 200W fast charging technology which will recharge the phone within 12 minutes. If you don’t want to spend even 12 minutes charging the phone, then there is good news for you. We say this because a Chinese original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is working on developing 240W charging technology.
Oppo can bring this technology
According to a report from Digital Chat Station (via Giznochina), an unnamed Chinese OEM is testing the production of a 24Volts/10Amp charger capable of delivering fast charging speeds of 240W. Although the tipster did not indicate which Chinese company is working on offering this fast charging technology, however, reports suggest that the company in question could be Oppo.
Battery full in 9 minutes
In fact, Oppo showed off its 240W SuperWook fast charging technology at an event in February. Although the technology he demonstrated was a prototype, it could charge a 4500 mAh battery in just under 9 minutes. Additionally, the company has not announced when its fast charging technology will come to the smartphone. But now, new reports suggest it could happen sooner rather than later.
If that’s true, then Oppo’s next-gen top-end smartphone – possibly one of its X-series smartphones – could come with 240W fast-charging technology, which will push the tech back even further. limitations of fast charging technology.

These brands also have fast charging phones
– As of now, companies like Xiaomi are offering users 120W fast charging technology through its Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G and iQoo through its iQoo 9 Pro 5G. Then there are companies offering users 80W fast charging technology through their Realme GT Neo 3 smartphone which claims to fully charge the phone in just 12 minutes. Recently, Vivo launched Vivo X80 series flagship smartphones. The top-end Vivo X80 Pro packs a 4,700mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.
– As mentioned earlier, fast charging technology is evolving rapidly. While this technology is currently mostly confined to smartphones, it is expected to reach laptops, tablets, and other battery-powered devices in the coming years. That said, there is a reasonable limit to which the limits of fast charging technology can be pushed until it is safe to use.
