America: fierce shooting in a building in the city of Louisville, 5 dead and 6 injured including the police
Louisville (USA). Five people were killed and at least six others were injured in a shooting at a downtown Louisville bank on Monday. The police gave this information. Police said the suspected shooter was also killed. Deputy Chief Paul Humphrey of the Louisville Metro Police Department told reporters at the scene, “There is still shooting inside the building at the scene.”
Humphrey said: “The shooter was confirmed dead at the scene.” “However, we do not yet know the exact circumstances of the attacker’s death at this time.” Humphrey further said that at least six injured people, including a police officer, were taken to hospital. But he has no idea of his condition.

Meanwhile, the Louisville Metro Police Department asked people on Twitter on Monday to avoid going there given the situation in the area. Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said in a tweet that he was heading to the scene. The shooting incident took place in a building on East Main Street, in which the former National Bank is located.
Witnesses who exited the building told Louisville station WHAS-TV they heard gunfire inside the building, and TV footage showed several police vehicles in the area. At the same time, Governor Beshear said, “Please pray for all affected families and the city of Louisville.” The FBI said its agents were also responding to the shootings. The shooting took place at a building on East Main Street, home to the former National Bank, not far from Louisville Slugger Field and Waterfront Park.
