Washington: America shot down the Chinese spy balloon which was flying over its maritime zone (Atlantic Sea). A suspected Chinese spy balloon was shot down off the coast of Carolina on Saturday after passing through sensitive military sites in North America, the Associated Press reported. US security agencies are now collecting the debris. US President Joe Biden endorsed the downing of the spy balloon and military officials backed him. The surveillance balloon was first spotted over Montana earlier this week. The size of this balloon is equal to three buses.

China says the downing of the balloon by the United States is a “serious violation of international practice”. He also threatened America to face the consequences. Before the Chinese spy balloon was shot down, the Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground stop for airports in Wilmington, North Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina, and Myrtle Beach. In other words, all activities at these airports have been completely stopped. Senior military officials had warned against shooting down the balloon, the debris from which could pose a threat to people and property on the ground. US Secretary of Defense Antony Blinken said that following instructions from President Joe Biden, our warplanes shot down a Chinese surveillance balloon over the Atlantic Sea off the coast of South Carolina.

Antony Blinken cancels his China tour
China said this ball went astray. But America took it seriously and its Secretary of Defense Antley Blinken canceled his visit to China. Earlier, US Department of Defense Pentagon spokesman Brigadier Pat Ryder said NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) is keeping a close eye on this spy balloon. The US government took immediate action to protect sensitive information. He said the balloon was at a height above commercial airspace and there was no danger to people on the ground. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Mayley and U.S. Northern Command Gen. Glenn Vanherk ordered immediate action given the potential threat to the safety of those on the ground.

China said – the ball went astray
China admitted that this ball had gone astray. At the same time, he appealed for peacekeeping on this issue. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said the cancellation of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to China next week was regrettable. He said America should change its attitude on these issues. The flight of a suspected Chinese spy balloon over American skies has derailed diplomatic talks between the two countries, as well as efforts to stabilize their strained ties. Daniel Russell, former President Barack Obama’s top diplomat, said the incident largely ruined diplomatic relations between the two countries.
