The National Seismology Center reported the quake’s intensity to be 4.7 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter 285 km east-northeast of Faizabad, Afghanistan. There is no news of loss of life or property in this file. Earthquakes were felt in Afghanistan for the third time this month. According to the National Seismology Center (NCS), a magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck the capital Kabul at 1:40 a.m. on March 7 at a depth of 136 kilometers. Earlier, on March 2, a magnitude 4.1 earthquake occurred in the Faizabad region of Afghanistan at 2:35 p.m.

A magnitude 3.8 earthquake also occurred in Kutch on February 27 this year.
