Erdogan, PM Modi, Putin, Biden re-elected president in Turkey, received congratulations from world leaders

The Turkish president has been in constant conflict with NATO on many issues. US President Joe Biden congratulated the Turkish president and said he wanted to continue working together as NATO allies on bilateral issues and common global challenges. However, Biden made no mention of the recent strain in bilateral relations. While congratulating Erdogan, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak highlighted the ongoing security cooperation between the two countries. He tweeted: “Congratulations President Erdogan, I look forward to continuing the strong cooperation between our countries as NATO Allies, from growing trade to countering security threats.”
