New Delhi. Mahamahopadhyay Bhadreshdas Swami ji of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha addressed as a prominent speaker of Hinduism at the R20 Dharma Manch held in Bali, Indonesia. Over 400 delegates attended the occasion. Significantly, R20 is a global initiative to bring together religious leaders from G20 member countries. Indonesian President Joko Widodo addressed the inaugural session of the conference.
Tirthaswaroop Swami ji from BAPS said that Bhadreshdas Swami ji is one of India’s leading philosophers. He gave a message of religious harmony by paying tribute during the centenary celebrations of the birth of Pramukh Swamiji Maharaj. He said that in 2023, the R20 conference will be held in New Delhi.
In his speech, Bhadreshdas Swamiji encouraged a universal definition of ‘Dharma’, drawing on the timeless universal wisdom of the Vedas, Upanishads, Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Bhagwan Swaminarayan and major Indian schools of thought. Also describes values like peace, love, friendship, respect and compassion. On this occasion, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, Treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust and Swami Mitranand Saraswati, Director of All India Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, shed light on Sanatan Hinduism.
In an interview, Dr. Timothy Samuel Shah, one of the main organizers of the conference and an eminent policy researcher at the University of Dallas (USA), thanked Bhadreshdas Swamiji for imparting knowledge on ancient philosophy and religious tradition through the G20 religious forum. . Kyai Haji Yahya Cholil Stockaf, the president of the largest Muslim organization in the world, thanked Bhadreshdas Swami and other Hindu saints from India for their participation in the summit.
