Grand reception of PM Modi at the White House, know what the two leaders said



New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was warmly welcomed at the White House on Thursday. US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden welcomed Prime Minister Modi with state honors. This event was also special because for the first time, members of the Indian community living in America also had the opportunity to enter the White House when the two met. Prime Minister Modi also thanked Biden for that. The two leaders also addressed those present after the meeting.

Joe Biden said: “The relationship between America and India is one of the most defining relationships of the 21st century. Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns to the White House. I have the privilege of being the first person to welcome you on this State visit. QUAD (an organization formed by India, America, Japan, Australia) has become stronger through your cooperation. We have strengthened QUAD to make the Indo-Pacific region open, free and secure.

Biden also spoke about Russia
Joe Biden further stated, “Decades later, people will look back and say the Quad transformed the course of history for global good.” India and America are fighting to eradicate poverty. We work together to expand access to health services, fight climate change, and combat food and energy insecurity caused by Russia’s war on Ukraine.

What did Prime Minister Modi say at the White House?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Members of the Indian community are increasing the value of India in America through their hard work and dedication. You are the real strength of our relationship. I thank President Biden and Dr. Jill Biden for granting me this honor. US President Biden and I will hold bilateral talks shortly and discuss regional and global issues. I’m sure our conversation will be positive.

“For the first time, the doors of the White House have been opened to Indians”
Prime Minister Modi further said, “For the first time, the doors of the White House have been opened to members of the Indian community living in America. You are all the real strength of India. Both countries are founded on democratic values. In the post-Covid era, the friendship between India and America will prove to be very important for the world. I am grateful to Biden for this honor. Narendra Modi said, “I wish India’s tricolor and America’s flag will reach new heights.” Thank you on behalf of 140 million Indians.
