“India is part of me…” Google CEO Sundar Pichai said after receiving Padma Bhushan

Washington. Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said he always felt connected to India and carried his Indian identity with him wherever he went. Pichai said this on the occasion of the presentation of Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian honour. Pichai said, “India is part of me and I take it with me wherever I go.”

Pichai, an American citizen of Indian origin, received the Padma Bhushan for the year 2022 in the category of commerce and industry. He received this honor from India’s Ambassador to America, Taranjit Singh Sandhu. Pichai received India’s third-highest civilian honor on Friday in the presence of close family members in San Francisco, United States.

Accepting this honor from India’s Ambassador to the United States, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Pichai said, “I am deeply grateful to the government of India and the people of India for this honor. India is part of me and I look forward to continuing the great partnership between Google and India as we work together to bring the benefits of technology to more people. »
