Seoul: North Korea again fired a suspicious missile at sea. The neighboring countries of North Korea gave this information. North Korea has stepped up testing activities in response to joint military exercises between the United States and South Korea. North Korea views these military drills as a practice attack against it. Japan’s Defense Ministry and Coast Guard said North Korea fired the missile on Sunday morning. However, he did not give further details regarding the launch.

According to South Korea’s “Yonhap” news agency, the South Korean military reported that North Korea had fired a ballistic missile towards its eastern waters. Although still under investigation, if the missile launch is confirmed, it would be North Korea’s fourth weapons test since the US and South Korean militaries began exercises joint military last week.

What is North Korea’s motive behind firing the missile?
North Korea believes that this joint military exercise must prepare for an attack against it. However, the United States and South Korea say their drills are defensive in nature. This exercise will continue until Thursday. North Korea recently launched a Hwasong-17 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), demonstrating its military might. North Korean state media quoted the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un, as saying the purpose of launching the ICBM was “to strike fear into the minds of enemies”.
