According to a report by the Economic Times, while India is a major strategic partner of France in South Asia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a major partner of France in West Asia. There has also been a big shift in the partnership between India and the UAE over the past few years. The strategic partnership of the two countries has taken these relations to a new level.

Along with this, possible areas of cooperation were discussed at this meeting on many issues including innovation, start-up, supply chain flexibility, increasing cultural cooperation. The three countries also discussed next steps to advance trilateral cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
