New York, Fearsome Pakistani terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki was listed as a global terrorist by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on Monday. According to a report by news agency ANI, this big hit came to India after China halted the proposal in June last year. The United Nations said in its statement that on January 16, 2023, the Security Council Committee adopted resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015) relating to ISIL (Daesh), Al-Qaeda and associated persons. According to this, the terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki has been included in the list of global terrorists.

Makki is known to be a feared terrorist, who works on a youth radicalization mission to fundraise, recruit and plan attacks, especially in Jammu and Kashmir. Makki is already listed as a terrorist by India and the United States. Additionally, Makki is the brother-in-law of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) leader and 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed and has held various leadership positions within the terrorist organization.

According to the US State Department, in 2020 a Pakistani counter-terrorism court convicted Makki in a terrorist financing case and sentenced him to prison. Let’s say that on many occasions before also, China put a brake on the proposals coming against the terrorists coming from Pakistan. However, this time after including Makki in the terrorist list, it is considered a big win for India.
