PM Modi created Guinness World Record while doing yoga at the UN, find out how
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inscribed his name in the Guinness Book of World Records during a yoga session held at the United Nations on the ninth Yoga Day. He became the only prime minister in the world to have done yoga in front of such a large number of foreign delegates. During the program held at the United Nations, he also received the award for this achievement. The Prime Minister said the yoga came from India but was copyright free. There is no patent for it, nor is there any need to pay royalties for it.
The United Nations headquarters, located in New York, has offices in all countries. In such a situation, when a special Yogashala was held at the UN on the Ninth Day of Yoga, diplomats from almost all countries participated. During the event, besides senior United Nations officials, diplomats from different countries and eminent personalities from all over the world were present. This is the reason why PM Narendra Modi, who runs this Yogashala, has made it into the Guinness World Record. India’s UN Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj said 191 countries have participated in the Yoga Day program.
