Russia on Saturday announced the tit-for-tat expulsion of more than 20 German diplomats after reports of a “mass” expulsion of staff from the Russian embassy in Berlin. Along with this, Russia has also accused Germany of destroying relations.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told state television Zvezda that “more than 20” German diplomats are expected to leave Moscow, according to the AFP news agency. The ministry’s statement came shortly after it condemned “a further mass expulsion of employees of Russian diplomatic missions in Germany”.

At the same time, the German Foreign Ministry said it had not paid attention to statements by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
