According to a report by The Associated Press news agency, the alleged attacker told a woman he was a chef who wanted to click pictures with showgirls while holding a knife used in his kitchen. However, when the showgirls refused to click a photo with him, he started stabbing her.

Another eyewitness, Pierre Fonderich, said he did not see the suspect armed with a knife, but heard three or four showgirls screaming. He added that he had seen a lot of blood. An injured woman ran across the bridge, one lying on the ground and the other stabbed in the back as she tried to help the fallen woman. Police are currently investigating the incident.
