Washington. Billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch has been in the limelight lately for his fifth marriage. But now there’s news that Murdoch and Ann Lesley Smith have called it quits less than a month after announcing their engagement. Murdoch, 92, chairman of Fox Corporation, and Leslie, 66, a former dental hygienist, are reportedly planning to wed this summer.
Rupert Murdoch is planning his fifth wedding less than a year after finalizing his divorce from his fourth wife, model and actress Jerry Hall, reports Vanity Fair. The report cites sources claiming that Murdoch had become uncomfortable with Leslie’s outspoken religious views. However, the spokesperson for this industrialist, known as the media mogul, declined to comment on the matter.

Last month, Murdoch announced his engagement to Ann Leslie Smith. Leslie’s late husband was Chester Smith, a country singer as well as a radio and television executive. Murdoch told the New York Post of their relationship that “I was very nervous.” I was afraid to fall in love, but I knew it would be the last. It would be better. I am happy.’
There was news that the two were planning to get married this summer. Murdoch had said about it that “we are both looking forward to spending the second half of our lives together”. Murdoch’s business empire includes Fox News in the US and the Sun newspaper in the UK. Murdoch has six children from his first three marriages. Prudence McLeod with his first wife, Patricia Booker. followed by Elizabeth and her sons Lachlan and James with his second wife Anna Mann. He has two other daughters, Grace and Chloe, with his third wife, Wendy Deng. Murdoch’s fourth wife was former model Jerry Hall. With whom he had separated last year.
