Russia: Bihar’s Abhay Singh wins election with record number of votes, Putin’s party MP

Kursk (Russia). Bihar’s Abhay Singh won the MP election in the western Russian city of Kursk with a massive vote. Abhay Singh is from Patna, a city in Bihar. The election of the deputy in Russia was won for the second time. The post of MP is similar to that of State Legislator (MLA) in India. Assembly elections in Russia have just ended. In this, the United Russia party led by President Putin won, and Abhay Singh was also a candidate of this party.

Abhay Singh is the only Indian to win a record victory in political office as an MP in Russia. He had his early education at Loyola High School in Patna. After that, in the 1990s, he moved to Russia and enrolled in a medical faculty there. After becoming a doctor, he returned to India and practiced for some time. After that, he again went to Russia and settled there. In Russia, he joined Putin’s party and won elections due to his popularity. This time he won the election with around 70% of the vote, which became a record.

Gaining respect in Russia, but victory was not so easy
It is said of Abhay Singh that he is now a big Russian businessman and owns many properties. He is also a real estate businessman. However, he also had to fight hard in Russia. He also faced many challenges due to apartheid and other reasons. Abhay Singh’s father died in his childhood. He then had to take on many responsibilities.
