New Delhi. Russian actor Artur Smolyaninov has struck a blow to Russia. He was once one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s favorite movie stars, but Russia has now declared the movie star a foreign agent. Artur Smolyaninov is also the subject of a criminal investigation. In the meantime, he issued a statement against Russia. Obviously, after this statement, Putin will get more angry. According to a CNN report, actor Artur Smolyaninov has already been identified as Rambo from Russia. Smolyaninov was the protagonist of the 2005 Russian feature film Devyataya Rota (9th Company). He played the role of the last soldier standing during a battle in Afghanistan, which was occupied by Soviet forces for a decade.
But a lot has changed since then. The actor was expelled. And in a recent interview, he said he was ready to fight on behalf of Ukraine and kill Russian soldiers. He told Novaya Gazeta last week that he felt nothing but hatred for the people on the Russian side and that he would show them no mercy if he were on this land. He even said that if he had to go to this war, he would only fight for Ukraine.
