Moscow: The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on since February 2022. In the midst of this war, news is now coming that Russian bomber fighter jets have accidentally dropped bombs on their own city. Two women were injured in this attack and many buildings were destroyed. Many cars were also damaged. The fighter jet was on its way to attack Ukraine when the pilot accidentally ejected the bomb.
The bomb fell in the city of Belgorod, Russia. The major damage caused by the attack can be gauged by the fact that where the bomb fell, a 20-meter crater formed in the middle of the city. This information was given citing the Russian Defense Ministry. More than a year has passed since the Russian-Ukrainian war, but for the first time such a mistake was made by the Russian army.
According to a report published on NDTV, many photos of the damage caused after the explosion are circulating on social networks. Local officials reported a major explosion in Belgorod on Thursday evening, saying the blast left a crater in the city center and injured two women.
Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said townspeople were shaken by the blast. 4 apartments and 4 cars were damaged in this explosion. Electric poles fell. Gladkov said on the Telegram messaging app that there was an explosion. Investigators and representatives of the Ministry of Emergencies are present at the scene. He said that as a result of the explosion, a “huge” crater about 20 meters wide (65ft) had been created in the center of the city.
