Many people were seriously injured in this incident, including 6 firefighters. After the explosion, the truck turned into a huge ball of fire. Many people are feared to have died in this explosion near OR Tambo Memorial Hospital. Horrific footage of the incident showed people burning in the streets of Boksburg. It is said that the truck carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) got stuck in a low bridge. After hitting the roof of the bridge with a truck full of LPG, it exploded.
According to a report from the British site Daily Express, the truck exploded next to OR Tambo Hospital in northeastern South Africa. After that, patient safety was also at risk there. Those present at the scene said that many people had been seriously burned in the Boksburg accident. A local report said human body parts were strewn across nearby streets. After the explosion a few meters from the OR Tambo hospital, it is also on fire. After the incident, dozens of people were screaming for help outside the hospital.
