Used to train young girls for the Islamic State
US attorney Raj Parekh said that for more than eight years, Fluke-Akren led a female ISIS battalion in war zones in Libya, Iraq and Syria. She used to train women and young girls to carry out attacks for the Islamic State. Sentencing the woman, District Judge Leonie Brinkema said, “You are clearly a very intelligent woman. “There is no doubt that the AAP was providing material assistance to a terrorist organization,” the judge said.
According to US attorney Raj Parekh, the accused woman had begun to maintain a firm grip on the Islamic State within days. She used to train young girls to brainwash them and kill them. Her daughter recorded her statement against the woman. The defendant’s daughter, Leyla Ekren, was married at the age of 13 by her mother to an IS fighter.
