New York. US Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday remembered the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks that killed thousands of Americans. In a tweet, he said: “We will never forget the 2,977 people lost on 9/11. Standing at Ground Zero today, I remember the impact this attack had on our country and on those who have lost loved ones. Doug and I stand by you today and every day.” Twenty-one years after terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in New York, this horrific incident is etched in our memories. Kamala Harris attended an event at Ground Zero in Manhattan to honor those killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. She was accompanied by her husband Doug Emhoff, Mayor Eric Adams and former Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The US Vice President said she stands with those who were lost twenty-one years ago at Ground Zero, Shanksville and the Pentagon. He said, “On this holy day of remembrance, we honor those who lost their lives, as well as those who risked everything to confront grave terrorism. Today we honor his courage and strength.” Kamala Harris said, “My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones.” Let us tell you, on this day there are 21 years, a total of 2,977 people lost their lives in a horrific terrorist attack.

On September 11, 2001, the United States suffered the deadliest terrorist attack in its history. More than 3,000 people were killed in the terrorist attacks. In just 102 minutes, the twin towers of New York’s World Trade Center collapsed after planes hijacked by al-Qaeda terrorists crashed. On Sunday, the 21st anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack was celebrated in America. President Joe Biden honored those who lost their lives in the attack by laying a wreath at the Pentagon.
