According to a Reuters report, a Turkish cargo ship was hit by a Russian missile in the port of the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine. Maritime safety firm Amber said the missile hit the deck of the Tuzla ship on Tuesday, causing a fire. In the video footage, flames are visible in the ship’s control room.
According to reports, the ship had been stuck in the port since February 2022, which was operated by Kayeli Shipping. After the attack, a maritime source told the news agency that 12 of these Turkish ships were stuck in Ukrainian ports, including Kherson. Not all of these vessels are covered by the United Nations Black Sea Grain Deal.
