Washington/Houston: There is a lot of excitement among American Indians regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit. Days before Prime Minister Modi’s visit, hundreds of Indians gathered at key locations in 20 cities across the country and staged marches to welcome him.

Prime Minister Modi will visit America from June 21-24 at the invitation of US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. Biden and his wife will host a state dinner for Prime Minister Modi on June 22. Prime Minister Modi will also address the joint session of Congress on June 22.

Prime Minister Modi will address the Indian Diaspora during a program on June 23 at the prestigious “Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center” in Washington. Hundreds of Indian-Americans from Washington DC and surrounding areas gathered near the “National Monument” on Sunday to send a message of unity and said they looked forward to the arrival of the prime minister in the city.
