New Delhi. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday for his three-day visit to India. Al-Sisi will visit India from January 24 to 26. During this time, he will participate as a guest of honor in the celebrations of the Republic Day. It is the first time that an Egyptian president has been invited as the main guest of the Republic Day celebrations. This is his third visit to India since 2015.
Sisi had previously visited India in October 2015 to attend the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit and in September 2016 for a state visit. Abdel Fateh al-Sisi is visiting India at a time when Egypt is going through an economic crisis. It is surprising that many Arab countries do not help Egypt. When India recently banned the export of wheat due to the Russian-Ukrainian war, many tons of wheat were sent to Egypt.
Come, find out about the arrival of Abdel Fattah Al Sisi as a guest from India:
Sisi is considered a very influential leader in Egypt, who has stabilized the country’s political unrest. Sisi was the head of the Egyptian army before assuming the post of president. Sisi ousted then-president Mohamed Morsi from power in July 2013. Elections were held a year later and he himself became president of Egypt. Born in 1954 in the Gamleya region of Cairo, Sisi’s family was a religious family believing in Islam. The family’s expenses worked only on the income of the father, who once worked in cabinetmaking. CC was very good in studies and from the beginning he leaned towards the army.
Sisi joined the infantry after graduating from the Egyptian Military Academy in 1977. At the same time, he also led the command of a special division. CCs with very sharp minds began to rise to the high ranks of the military over time. He became Chief of the Diplomatic Military Staff in Saudi Arabia, then took over as Commander of Egypt’s Northern Military Zone.
