Washington. Who does not know the Jamaican Usain Bolt? Bolt, who won 8 gold medals at the Olympics, ruled the world of athletics for 16 years. He still holds the world record for the 100 meters in 9.58 seconds. Well, records are made to be broken. I don’t know when who will get the piece on it. But in the era of computing and artificial intelligence, things are changing rapidly. Now the robots have taken to the track to challenge these legendary athletes. In America, a robot was put on the field for a 100 meter race.

This robot was made by Oregon State University’s College of Engineering and spin-off company Agility Robotics. This two-legged robot earned its name in the Guinness World Records by running 100 meters in 24.7 seconds on the college track.

How does this robot work
This robot was named Cassie. The robot works without external cameras or sensors. It was created under the guidance of Jonathan Hurst, Oregon State Professor of Robotics and Chief Technology Officer of Agility Robotics. Previously, this robot had completed the entire 5000 meter race on the university campus with a time of 53 minutes.
